One of the most peculiar species of
Campanula in the whole Palearctic flora, with a curious
mixing of characters. It occurs from Deva, Simeria and Olt
defile to the south-west on petrophile mesoxeric
habitats. The hairs of the plant are quite irritant - a
characteristic never to be encountered again in
Campanula
